Touch of Class….

Class has nothing to do with MONEY!

The reason this word has been associated with money for so long, is because it used to discribe your social or economic state i.e. “working class”.

There are more distinct definitions of this word, that we need to focus upon

1)Class- Grade or Quality

2) Class- Excellence, as of style

What makes us have class?

I would like to know what you think, I know what I think “class” is,  I am eager to coffee talk with you about your thoughts.

Yours,

  • I think “classy” is one of those terms that are very illusive. It is filled with a mixture of varying degrees of connotations without any real definition. I have heard a lot of women who want to be seen as classy but unable to truly explain what it is. There always seems to bits of “social respect,” “self liberty,” “style” and “sexual” tones all mixed into the meaning. So I offer this definition in a very abstract form:

Classy: Any actions based on desire; that uplifts a person, rather than degrade them.

For example, compare the town whore with the widow traveler. Both can be called promiscuous, however; the widow traveler is worldly and chooses her actions with desire, with disregard to conservative attitude. The men who she allows into her bed uplift her feelings and make her more desirable. The town whore has the same desires and maybe even the same motivations however, her actions degrades her feelings in the end and makes her more sorrowful. Another comparison would be the gentleman with the frat boy. Both can be called drunkards; however, the gentleman chooses to drink and socialize to uplift his feelings walking away enriched by the company he has met. The frat boy has the same desires but his actions degrade him and he is left to mock his own ludicrous behavior.
